Hey y’all! I’m Ashley, an illustrator born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. I’ve illustrated children’s books like Close and Away and coloring books like The Total Healthcare Coloring Book, always hoping my art helps kids (and grown folks, too) see themselves and know their stories matter. Representation is so important to me, and I pour my heart into making sure everyday people can celebrate themselves in my work.

I dream of designing characters for animation and stop motion one day. Some of my favorite animated series are Hey, Arnold!, Steven Universe, and The Proud Family. Animation has always felt like magic to me, and I hope to create characters as impactful as Arnold, Steven, and Penny.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with making dolls from polymer clay. I started crafting dolls because I wanted to create something tangible that lets me use my hands in new ways. I get to intersect my skills in illustration, sculpting, design, and sewing, a skill I learned from my mother. I’m also working on finishing my first self-written and illustrated picture book, Picture Day. Every project is a chance to share a lil piece of myself with you, and I hope you see a lil piece of yourself too.
